Why can’t quartz glass be used as the glass for household windows

Quartz glass isn’t practical for household windows because:

  1. ‌Cost‌ – It’s way more expensive to make than regular glass‌.
  2. ‌Fragility‌ – While heat-resistant, it cracks easier under sudden pressure changes‌.
  3. ‌Unnecessary features‌ – Its high melting point (over 1,600°C) isn’t needed for windows‌.

Normal glass works fine for homes and costs way less‌.
