Graphite & Carbon Textile for Extreme Temperature & Sealing

Graphite and carbon textile products are manufactured from either expanded graphite yarn or carbonized polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber. Expanded graphite textile is produced by knitting or weaving pure expanded graphite yarn, creating a flexible, high- strength material with excellent sealing properties. Carbon fiber textile is produced from carbonized PAN fiber, offering outstanding tensile strength and thermal stability.

Our product range includes graphite cloth (woven fabric for gaskets, fireproof cloth and sealing), graphite tape (braided tape for flange sealing and packing), carbon fiber rope (braided rope for refractory textile binding and conductive applications), and carbon fiber tape (woven tape for structural reinforcement and thermal insulation). Optional metallic wire reinforcement (Inconel, 304/316 stainless steel) significantly improves pressure resistance and blow-out resistance.

We supply graphite and carbon textile products for overseas distributors, industrial buyers, furnace manufacturers, maintenance companies and OEM customers, with different constructions, dimensions, reinforcement types and custom fabrication available according to specification.

Extreme Temperature Capability Graphite textile operates up to +650°C in air; carbon fiber rope up to +2600°C in inert gas.
Excellent Chemical Inertness Resistant to pH 0–14 range; exceptional resistance to acids, alkalis and solvents.
Flexible & Conformable Textile constructions conform to irregular surfaces for effective sealing and insulation.
Metallic Wire Reinforcement Optional Inconel or stainless steel wire for higher pressure and blow-out resistance.

Electrical Conductivity Excellent (conductive) Insulative Insulative
Thermal Conductivity High (conductive) Low (0.03–0.17 W/m·K) Low (0.03–0.05 W/m·K)
Density (Textile) 1.0–1.78 g/cm³ 500–600 kg/m³ ~100–200 kg/m³
Tensile Strength High (carbon fiber ≥4500 MPa) Moderate Moderate
Typical Applications Flange gaskets, heat exchanger seals, conductive electrodes, furnace insulation Furnace linings, kiln insulation, high-temp seals, fire protection Pipe insulation, electrical insulation, fire blankets

* Values are typical reference values for common grades and may vary depending on specific products and formulations. Graphite and carbon textile offers unique electrical conductivity and extreme temperature capability in inert atmospheres, while ceramic fiber provides the highest temperature insulation in air. Fiberglass is a cost-effective choice for moderate-temperature applications. Always confirm with our technical team for your application.
