Explore graphite gland packing for industrial pumps, valves, mixers and other applications requiring high-temperature resistance, chemical resistance and self-lubricating performance in demanding service conditions.
Graphite gland packing is a braided compression packing manufactured from flexible graphite. It is selected for industrial sealing applications where high-temperature capability, excellent chemical resistance and self-lubricating properties are critical requirements.
Flexible graphite provides outstanding thermal stability and chemical inertness, making graphite packing suitable for demanding high-temperature service, including steam, hot oils and many aggressive chemicals. Depending on the construction and reinforcement, graphite packing can be used in selected pumps, valves and other industrial equipment.
We supply graphite gland packing for overseas distributors, industrial buyers, maintenance companies and OEM customers, with different cross sections, constructions, reinforcement options and packaging forms available according to specification.
Graphite packing combines high-temperature capability, excellent chemical resistance and self-lubricating properties for demanding industrial sealing applications.
Flexible graphite can withstand temperatures up to +450°C in oxidizing atmospheres and up to +650°C in steam or non-oxidizing environments.
Graphite is highly inert and resists most chemicals, including acids, alkalis, solvents and hot oils, making it suitable for aggressive media.
Graphite provides natural lubrication, reducing friction, heat generation and wear on shafts and stems during operation.
Graphite exhibits low thermal expansion, supporting dimensional stability and consistent sealing performance under temperature changes.
Graphite gland packing can be supplied in different square cross sections, including metric sizes and customized dimensions subject to specification.
Suitable for industrial distributors, OEM customers, maintenance companies and bulk purchasing programs.
Technical performance depends on the graphite grade, braid construction, reinforcement, impregnation and actual operating conditions. The values below are reference information and should be confirmed for the selected packing construction before ordering.

| Cross Section | 3–40 mm; custom dimensions available subject to specification |
| Application | Pumps, valves, mixers and selected industrial equipment requiring high-temperature and chemically resistant sealing |
| Temperature | Up to approximately +450°C in oxidizing atmospheres and up to +650°C in steam or non-oxidizing environments for suitable graphite packing constructions; actual allowable temperature depends on construction, reinforcement and service conditions |
| Pressure | Construction-dependent; suitable designs are available for demanding industrial pressure service. Typical valve service up to approximately 20 MPa depending on construction. Confirm the rated pressure for the selected packing and application |
| Shaft Speed | Application-dependent; allowable shaft speed depends on pressure, temperature, equipment design, lubrication and packing construction. Typical rotary applications can operate up to approximately 20 m/s depending on conditions |
| pH Range | 0–14 for typical graphite packing constructions; graphite is highly resistant to both acids and alkalis. Verify chemical compatibility with the actual medium, concentration and temperature |
| Chemical Resistance | Excellent resistance to most chemicals, including acids, alkalis, solvents, hot oils and steam. Graphite is highly inert. Compatibility should be verified for the actual fluid, concentration, temperature and complete packing construction |
| Thermal Expansion | Low; graphite has a low coefficient of thermal expansion compared with many conventional fiber materials |
| Supply Form | Coil, spool, cut length, pre-cut rings or customized packaging subject to specification |
| Compliance | ISO 9001 quality management and RoHS compliance documentation available where applicable; confirm documentation requirements before ordering |
