Quartz U Glass Tube

Chemical properties

1. High temperature resistance. Quartz glass has a softening point of about 1730°C. You can use it at 1100°C for a long time and at 1450°C for a short time.

2. Corrosion resistance. Except for hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass resists most acids. It is 30 times more acid-resistant than ceramics and 150 times more so than stainless steel. It is especially stable at high temperatures.

Physical properties

1. Good thermal stability. Quartz glass has a low thermal expansion coefficient. It can withstand severe temperature changes. They heat quartz glass to about 1100°C, and it will not burst into normal temperature water.

2. Quartz glass has good light transmission from ultraviolet to infrared. Its visible light transmittance is above 93%. In the ultraviolet region, it exceeds 80%.

3. Quartz glass is a great insulator. Its resistance is 10,000 times that of ordinary glass. It is an excellent electrical insulator. It works well at high temperatures.
