Workers use fireproof and heat-insulating fiberglass tape to seal and insulate boiler fire dampers, joints, and gaskets. Use fiberglass insulation tape on very hot pipes before installing fiberglass pipe insulation. It will lower the pipe’s surface temperature. To ensure safety, wrap a high-temp (up to 550℃) pipe with high-temp woven fiberglass tape. It will prevent burns if employees bump into or touch the pipe.
Manufacturers braid fiberglass tape from E-glass or C-glass fiber. This creates robust, woven borders. It can be self-adhesive on one side.
Dyed or metal wire reinforcement is also available. NINGTEX glass fiber tape has good inductivity and high temperature resistance. It is now a must-have binding material for electrical machinery and appliances. It is an excellent substitute for asbestos tape.
