They braid low-sulfur expanded graphite yarns and reinforce them with cotton or glass fiber. They have very low friction and do not damage shafts or stems.
It shows good thermal and chemical resistance and high elasticity. It can provide glass fiber, nickel wire, and copper as enhancements. You can use it with carton packing and anti-extrusion packing rings.
For use in pumps, valves, reciprocating and rotating shafts, mixers, and agitators.
It is for services with higher speeds and temperatures than pure PTFE packings.
You can use it in all chemical pump applications without risk. This excludes molten alkali metals, fluoride, fuming nitric acid, and other strong oxidizers. It is also resistant to water, steam, petroleum derivatives, vegetable oil, and solvents.
