Neoprene rubber sheet is multipurpose elastomers with good comprehensive performance.
Characteristics

Neoprene rubber sheet has excellent tensile strength and outstanding physical toughness.
It has good heat, ozone, and weather aging resistance. It is more heat resistant than nitrile rubber sheets.
Weather aging resistance is inferior to EPDM rubber sheets.
Good oil and chemical corrosion resistance.
Neoprene rubber sheet is flame-retardant. It does not self-ignite. It can burn when exposed to a flame, but it self-extinguishes when someone removes the flame. Its oxygen index is 38-41. Experts consider materials with an oxygen index of 27 or higher to be flame retardant. Any rubber sheet containing a enough concentration of halogen has flame-retardant properties. The oxygen index measures materials\’ flammability. It is the smallest oxygen volume in a nitrogen-oxygen mix for a sample to maintain a candle-like flame. Neoprene rubber sheet has a high oxygen index. It is hard to burn, second only to fluorine rubber sheet.
Applications
Neoprene rubber is primarily used for its flame-retardant properties and strong adhesion. It has medium heat and weather resistance. It has moderate electrical resistance, too. For example, manufacturers use it in wires and cables, adhesives, and automotive parts. It is also used in bridge bearings, conveyor belts, air ducts, coatings, and corrosion-resistant linings. It is flame-retardant. Neoprene rubber sheets can resist corrosion, high temperatures, and weather. So, it is suitable for power, sewage, and chemical plants.
